The latest signing to andro's ProTeam is the Senegalese Ibrahima Diaw. His personal goal is to qualify for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo after his very successful and historic year 2019.

Climbing the world ranking
After "Iba" already reached No. 92 in the Junior World Ranking in 2010, he now made it from No. 964 in 2018 to No. 76 in January 2020 in the adult rankings. By placing first in the group at the ITTF Challenge Series Thailand Open 2019 and winning the double competition (double partner Padasak Taviriyavechakul) of the ITTF Indonisia Open 2019, Iba's international profile increased significantly. He also fought hinself into quarter-finals of the Africa Cup and the Africa Games. Iba hopes that this is just the beginning of his success and is very proud to represent Senegal on an international level.

The best player in Senegal
Now training and based in Denmark, Ibrahima learned his playing skills in his youth in France. He is currently playing in France's second division at Roanne LNTT and is also considered Senegal's best table tennis player thanks to his recent successes in 2019 and his rise in the world rankings. He is now looking forward to bringing table tennis to the sports halls in his home country.

Ambassador for the 2022 Summer Youth Olympic Games
At the 2022 Summer Youth Olympic Games, which will be held in Senegal, Ibrahima helps the national table tennis association to bring children closer to table tennis and acts as an ambassador for the sport. The first component of the initiative of the Senegalese table tennis association was to provide 26 sports teachers with basic knowledge about table tennis. Ibrahima also conducted a training session with the national team of Senegal and donated equipment to further help the players. Together with Nicolas Petit, ITTF Head of International Development, he has already visited the venue for the 2022 Summer Youth Olympic Games.
