Kilian Ort scores huge surprise
Sabine Winter takes gold in doubles

Every year in March, the national championships traditionally take place in most European countries. Admittedly, in the midst of all the European and World Championships, between the Champions League and the ETTU Cup, the national championships seem to have lost some of their importance. Rather, one has the impression that some top players skip the event in order to gather forces for the season's finals.
However you can read many, many prominent names on the participant lists, as the event means prestige and in many nations also works as a basis for nominations for the WTTC in Halmstad, Sweden. Especially in view of these circumstances, we are proud of our andro Pro Team, which was once again more than successful this year.

Above all there is Kilian Ort. The young Bavarian, who plays in the TTBL for the first time this season, used the German Championships to step out of his month-long performance low. His outstanding triumph series, which also ended Bastian Steger’s hopes in the semi-finals, finally stopped in the final, which he lost 0-4 to record winner Timo Boll. For Kilian, winning the silver medal is the biggest success so far in his young career, which had already begun to struggle at the end of his youth when Kilian was barely able to train for more than a year due to a shoulder injury.
The medal set at this year's German Championships was completed by Sabine Winter, who unexpectedly has been able to win the gold medal in the doubles with substitute player Huong Do Thi. For Sabine it is already the fourth double title with the fourth partner. In singles Sabine won the bronze medal.

andro stars Adam Szudi and Stéphane Ouaiche were also able to call in strong performances in Hungary and France. Adam won silver in singles and gold in doubles, once again highlighting his international reputation as a double specialist.

Like Kilian in Germany, Stéphane stroke back from low perfomance in France. Stéphane had missed both, the preparation for the season and the beginning due to an operation on his foot. Since then, missions in competition are limited. Victories against his good friend Petiot and the European champion Lebesson show that he is well on his way and that soon the old artist will be back.
